Hive: Mosquito

Add the Mosquito pieces to a standard Hive set before the game starts. Each player will get 12 pieces to play with. During the game, place them like other pieces. Once in play, the Mosquito takes on the movement traits of any creature it touches, changing its characteristics throughout. Note: If it moves as a Beetle on top of the Hive, it keeps moving as a Beetle until it climbs down.

To use the Mosquito pieces, just add them to a standard Hive set before the game begins. Each player gets 12 pieces. When playing, place them the same way as other pieces. The cool thing is that the Mosquito takes on the movement features of whatever creature it touches. But remember, if it moves like a Beetle on top of the Hive, it will keep moving like a Beetle until it climbs off. There aren't any special maintenance steps, just keep the pieces clean and dry after each game.
