Lorenzo de' Medici, famously known as 'Lorenzo the Magnificent', was a key figure and passionate patron of the Italian Renaissance. In 'Lorenzo il Magnifico', you step into the shoes of a noble family head in an Italian Renaissance city. Your goal? Gain more prestige and fame, or victory points (VP), than your opponents. Send your family members to various parts of town. In one area, they'll gather useful resources. In another, they'll acquire development cards representing new territories, sponsored buildings, influenced characters, or encouraged ventures. And in other places, they'll activate card effects. Family members vary in value. At the start of each round, roll three dice to find out. Choose wisely where to send your most valuable ones. You can earn VP in multiple ways, and don't forget about your relationship with the Church. The game has three periods, each with two rounds. At the end of each period, show your faith. Those who haven't prayed enough will face tough penalties. After six rounds, calculate your final score, and the player with the most VP wins.
