Race for the Galaxy: Alien Artifacts

Race for the Galaxy: Alien Artifacts is the fourth expansion for the classic space conquest game, Race for the Galaxy. It goes in a new direction and is incompatible with earlier expansions. This expansion has two parts. First, there are 46 new cards, including 5 new start worlds for the base set, and action cards and a start - hand for a fifth player. These can be used without the orb cards. Second, 49 cards represent the Alien Orb. Players jointly map and explore it, getting artifact tokens with powers and VPs. There are also five new Explore action cards for the orb game. The orb game is optional, offering a fresh Race for the Galaxy experience. Players need to balance exploring the orb and building their empires.

How to use: For the new cards part, simply add the 46 new cards including the 5 start worlds to the base set. You can use these without the orb cards. If you want to play the orb game, use the 49 orb - representing cards. Players work together to map and explore the orb, getting artifact tokens. The five new Explore action cards are used in this orb game. Note: This expansion is not compatible with earlier expansions of Race for the Galaxy. Maintenance: Keep the cards in a dry and cool place to prevent damage. You can use card sleeves to protect them from wear and tear.
