The Night Cage

You wake up in the pitch - black, your skin icy and mind empty. All you've got is fear, a flickering candle, and one burning question: How long will your light hold out? Trapped in a pitch - black maze, with only dim candles as your guide, you and up to 4 other players must collaborate to explore and escape. The weak candlelight only shows your immediate area, and lurking in the dark are terrifying Wax Eaters, just waiting to attack. The Night Cage is a fully co - operative horror tile - placement game for 1 - 5 players. To win, each player has to collect a key, find a gate, and then escape as a team. Escape is no walk in the park because your visibility is limited by the weak candlelight. It only lights up directly connected tiles, and when you move, dark tiles are removed. Going back only reveals new paths, and keys and gates disappear if your light leaves them.

How to play: First, gather 1 - 5 players. Everyone starts in the dark maze with a candle. The goal is for each player to find a key and then locate a gate to escape as a group. As you move through the maze, your candlelight only shows the tiles right next to you. When you move, the tiles that fall into darkness are removed from the game. Be careful not to lose track of keys and gates as they'll vanish if your light moves away. Attention: The Wax Eaters are lurking in the dark, so always be on guard. If you go back the way you came, new paths will open, but the old ones are gone for good. Maintenance: There's not much maintenance needed for this game. Just keep the game components in a dry place to prevent damage.
